The idea to create the fireplace was born from the desire to have a chill atmosphere, while maintaining the space in the house and keeping a beautiful view/design within the house. Originally, I planned a fireplace on wheels, but after a sleepless night, I came up with the idea for a version of a fireplace that extends from the floor. Even though the house design was ready and the floor was finished, I had to make some modifications to fit the new idea into the existing arrangement. After consulting with the construction company; to see whether it is possible to make a hole in the floor, I started the realization of the project. The construction process was multi-stage; some solutions turned out to be correct, others required corrections, especially since I was learning from trial and error. After the first ignition, the fireplace worked flawlessly and met all expectations. Its lower part consists of two types of stone, creating a harmonious whole piece. The base stone can be made in any pattern. It serves its purpose during winter and it is easy to hide in summer, without disturbing the design or space within the house. I hope you liked my project.
